Add freight & other order costs For a more complete margin

Enter totals for this batch. Do not add charges already included in your quoted purchase price. Leave unknown costs blank; use 0 for a confirmed zero charge.

Use one quoted product and roll size. A different quantity or film needs a confirmed quote; changing it here keeps your prices and freight unchanged.

A QUICK WALK-THROUGH

How to use this calculator

  1. Start with a wholesale quotation for one product and roll size. Enter the quoted price per roll, quantity and your expected resale price in the same currency. This is for reselling rolls, not pricing vehicle installation.
  2. Add freight and other order costs when you know them. If a charge is already included in the quote, do not add it twice. Blank charges remain unknown; enter zero only when no extra charge applies.
  3. Check profit per roll, gross margin and estimated profit if the full batch sells. Try a different resale price, then discuss the order with sales. A new quantity or specification needs a confirmed quote.

How the calculation works

Known cost per roll = purchase price + (entered freight + entered other order costs) ÷ quantity. Gross profit per roll = resale price − cost per roll. Gross margin = gross profit per roll ÷ resale price × 100. Estimated batch gross profit = gross profit per roll × quantity, assuming every roll sells at the entered price.

A worked example

Example only: a quote of 320 per roll for 20 rolls, plus 600 freight and 400 other costs, gives a cost of 370 per roll. Reselling at 650 gives 280 gross profit per roll, a 43.1% gross margin and 5,600 batch gross profit if all 20 rolls sell. These are illustrative figures, not OptimumWrap prices or an earnings forecast.

What your distributor margin includes

Use one specification, purchase price and resale price per calculation. For a mixed order, calculate each quoted line separately and allocate shared charges without counting them twice. Missing costs make the result provisional. Gross profit excludes business overhead and is not net profit or a promise of sales. The batch result assumes every roll sells at your entered price; it does not model unsold stock, returns or discounts. Changing quantity does not automatically change your quoted unit price or freight.

How to prepare a film wholesale order →

Can I use this before I have a wholesale quote?

You can try the labelled example to see how it works. For a buying decision, request a quote for your film, quantity and destination first. This calculator does not generate supplier prices or volume discounts.

Is gross margin the same as markup?

No. Gross margin divides gross profit by the resale price. Markup divides it by cost. This calculator shows gross margin, so a cost of 370 and resale price of 650 give 43.1% margin, not 75.7% markup.

What if freight or other costs are still unknown?

Leave them blank. The calculator shows provisional profit before unconfirmed costs. Add the actual amounts and confirm that all applicable order costs are included before using the gross profit estimate. It does not look up shipping, tax or exchange rates.

Will OptimumWrap receive my selling price or profit estimate?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. Only film type, quantity and an explicitly selected product reference are passed to the inquiry form. Your purchase price, resale price, freight and profit figures are not included.

WHEN THE NUMBERS WORK FOR YOU

How to move from your quote to an order

OptimumWrap manufactures Clear PPF, Color PPF and Vinyl Wrap for trade supply. When you are ready, contact sales with your quotation reference, chosen film, quantity and delivery country. Keep your resale prices and profit targets for your own planning.

  1. Confirm the quoted product. Check the film type, color, roll size and packaging. Request a physical sample if you still need to evaluate the finish.
  2. Confirm the final order. Ask sales to confirm the current price, freight, delivery schedule and payment terms for your quantity and destination.
  3. Arrange the purchase with sales. Review the final quotation or pro forma invoice before payment. This calculator does not place an order.
